This 24 channel microphone preamp is the ideal supplement to an 24 track HD recorder or line mixer. It combines high quality microphone preamps with Peak and RMS limiters. For every channel there is a switch for automatic gain level, it decreases the gain motor pots if the multiple limiters are working. It's an extremely practical feature for live recordings! The increase of the gain is only possible by hand. With the AMP-24 you must still set the +48V Phantom power and Pad -20dB then fully turn up all Gain pots. Then you can go to drink a coffee in silence. After approximately 20s, all gains are optimally leveled and corrected at renewed level. In the meantime, the almost inaudible limiters control the exit level on the outputs. So you can reduce the headroom for your recording unit and better use the full bit width, without afraid of clippings. The intervention by hand is nevertheless possible anytime.

As option we can deliver the AMP-24 with a complete internal monitor unit. It comprises a phones output jack at the rear side, also for each channel a solo function, Pan and Volume. The outs of the HD recorder must be connected to the monitor inputs (3x SUB-D 25) and can be monitored accordingly then. So you can produce a control mix without additional external equipment. The last configuration will be saved automatic, if the mains go down.
